We supply and set up the ceremony PA — microphones for the celebrant and the vows, music before and after, and a system for speeches and the dance floor at the reception. Uplighting if you want it. Most ceremonies need one speaker and two microphones, and we'll say so.
Everyone needs to hear the vows, and the music needs to land on the moment. Both are harder outdoors than they look.
Your celebrant wears a discreet headset, a second microphone waits for the readings, and the music runs from your playlist or your musician. Everything is battery-powered, so no leads across the sand, and the speaker sits where it covers your guests without appearing in the photos.
Beach and headland ceremonies are windy. This is what we do about it.
A headset sits an inch from the mouth, so the voice is loud and the wind is quiet. We choose per celebrant, per site.
Turning it up makes the wind louder too. Position and angle carry the sound to the back row instead.

Speeches are the part of the night people remember, and the part most often let down by a hired speaker. We set the room up for speeches first: a wireless handheld that works from any table, a second for the MC, and a system tuned so the back of the room hears without the front being shouted at.
Then the same system becomes the dance floor. Your DJ or band plugs straight in, or we run your playlist with a proper fade on every track.
For a marquee, a barn or a room that was never built for music, we add subs and a second pair of speakers so it sounds even everywhere, not just loud at the front.

A dozen wireless uplights against the walls turn a bare hall into the venue in your saved photos. No cables, nothing taped down.
We match the colour to your palette and shift it through the night if you like: warm amber for dinner, something deeper when the dance floor opens. Festoon over an outdoor reception, a lit dance floor and a pin spot on the cake are the usual additions.
It travels in the same van as the sound, so it costs a fraction of a separate lighting hire.

We're based in Coolum and travel is built into the quote. New venue to us? We'll visit or talk to the coordinator beforehand, so nothing on the day is a surprise.

For most ceremonies we set up, sound-check with the celebrant and stay for the duration. A drop-off option exists for sheltered venues with power.

Peak-season Saturdays from September to April go first. Two to three months is comfortable, and less is often still possible.

A well-styled room should stay that way. We make sure the vows, speeches and music are heard without the venue looking like a gig. Years in theatre taught us how to keep the gear out of sight.
Cables run behind drapes, under rugs and along skirting, taped and dressed the way a theatre crew does it. Nobody sees them and nobody trips on them.
Wireless microphones and battery-powered speakers, so there's nothing to plug in by the arbour, the lectern or the end of the jetty.
Slim speakers that sit against the décor and still fill the room, positioned by an engineer instead of parked on tripods.
Site inspections for premium events. We walk the venue first, find where the gear can hide and, where the house system is good, plug straight into it.
