A well-styled room should stay that way. We make sure the vows, speeches and music are heard without the venue looking like a gig. Years in theatre taught us how to keep the gear out of sight.
Cables run behind drapes, under rugs and along skirting, taped and dressed the way a theatre crew does it. Nobody sees them and nobody trips on them.
Wireless microphones and battery-powered speakers, so there's nothing to plug in by the arbour, the lectern or the end of the jetty.
Slim speakers that sit against the décor and still fill the room, positioned by an engineer instead of parked on tripods.
Site inspections for premium events. We walk the venue first, find where the gear can hide and, where the house system is good, plug straight into it.
Sunshine Coast Sound is run by Jack Scandrett, a senior sound engineer with 17 years in AV and major touring productions. His other work is commercial musical theatre, where a missed cue is heard by a full house.
That background shapes how we work here. Radio microphones that don't drop out, systems tuned to the room, cabling dressed properly, and gear that arrives early and leaves quietly.

We are based in Coolum, with the gear stored in Noosaville, and we have our own van, so most of the Sunshine Coast is a straightforward drive: Noosa, Peregian, Coolum, Maroochydore, Mooloolaba, Caloundra, Montville, Maleny and the hinterland in between.
Beach and open-site work is routine for us: battery power, microphones chosen for wind, and gear that can be carried across sand. Further afield is usually possible. Ask, and we'll tell you straight whether we're the right call.
Tell us about the day. Date, venue, rough numbers and what is happening. Five minutes on the phone is usually enough.
We send a written quote. Itemised and GST inclusive, with delivery and set-up priced in rather than added later.
We turn up and run it. Delivered, set up and tested with you, then either left running or looked after for the whole event.
Most enquiries get an answer the same day. If your event is close, ring. We can usually tell you straight away.
