Most function rooms have a house system that's fine for background music and a lectern microphone. For a panel, a live band, a stream or a room over a hundred people we add to it or replace it, and we sort that out with the venue's coordinator beforehand rather than on the day.
On conference days and awards nights an engineer stays on the desk for the whole event. Spare microphones, a spare laptop and spare leads are on site.
Function rooms are styled for a reason. We make sure the presenters, the panel and the walk-up music are heard without the room looking like a gig. Years in theatre taught us how to keep the gear out of sight.

Extras: a second room or breakout, LED screen for a large ballroom, live streaming, a second engineer, a stage, a photo backdrop, and rehearsals the day before. Everything is quoted in writing first, and we'll tell you if the venue's own kit covers part of it.

Sometimes. In-house systems are built for background music and one microphone. For a panel, a band, a stream or a room over a hundred people, a dedicated engineer with their own kit is what stops the day going wrong. We work alongside the venue's team happily.

For conference days and awards nights, yes: an engineer stays on the desk for the duration rather than setting up and leaving. The half-day meeting package is set up and tested with your presenters, with a technician on call. Tell us if you'd like someone in the room throughout.
